Ready to Analyze Rankings vs Speed
Enter a keyword above to fetch the top 10 Google results and run Lighthouse speed tests on each page. See if faster pages rank higher.
How to Use RankSpeed Analyzer
Step 1: Enter Your Target Keyword
Type the exact keyword or search phrase you want to analyze in the search box. The tool will fetch the current top 10 Google results for this query and test their page speed performance.
Tips for best results:
- Use exact match keywords as users search them (e.g., "best running shoes for beginners" not just "running shoes")
- Test variations separately - Google often ranks different pages for similar queries
- Consider search intent - commercial keywords often show weaker speed correlation than informational queries
Step 2: Wait for Analysis (90-120 seconds)
The tool performs several operations: fetching top 10 Google results, running Lighthouse tests on each page (testing sequentially for maximum accuracy), and calculating correlation analysis.
Metrics being tested:
- LCP (Largest Contentful Paint): Time until the largest visible element loads. Google's threshold: under 2.5s is Good
- INP (Interaction to Next Paint): Response time when users interact. Google's threshold: under 200ms is Good
- CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift): Visual stability score. Google's threshold: under 0.1 is Good
Step 3: Analyze Your Results
Review the speed leaderboard showing all 10 results with color-coded performance badges. Green (Good) passes all Google thresholds, Yellow (Needs Attention) has room for improvement, Red (Poor) fails Google standards.
Step 4: Review Key Insights
Check the correlation analysis to understand if speed matters for your keyword. Strong correlation means faster pages rank significantly higher - prioritize speed optimization. Weak correlation means other factors matter more.
Step 5: Take Action
If correlation is strong, audit your page speed and prioritize Core Web Vitals fixes. If correlation is weak, maintain baseline performance but focus on content quality and backlinks instead.
